In 2006 PCS switched from Environment Learning for the Future (E.L.F.) Program (this environmental education and natural science program was designed by the Vermont Institute for Natural Sciences – VINS) to a nature education program offered by Four Winds Nature Institute
www.fourwindsinstitute.org to provide the training for adult volunteers and help provide materials such as slide shows, bones, puppets and hand-outs etc. that we use in classes. Each month, an instructor comes to the school and teaches a group of volunteer parents and community members a series of hands-on activities which revolve around a yearly theme. The volunteers then bring these
