PCS Preschool Program

What We Believe…We know that each child’s growth and development is unique, and that children learn in different ways at different rates. They learn best through hands-on activities and play.

The Putney Central Preschool program provides active learning experiences designed to support all aspects of your child’s development: cognitive, social-emotional, physical and creative. We create learning environments that are inviting, enriching and structured to promote a child’s sense of inquiry, self-confidence and independence.

In addition, we recognize that a strong home-school connection is critical to children’s success in school and encourage parent involvement.

Our preschool program is committed to building your child’s sense of community by encouraging respect for and acceptance of others.

The preschool has openings for Head Start eligible families at no cost for children between the ages of three and five. Priority is given to children who live in Putney.
