PCS Set to Enter Year Two of PBiS

Much preparation has gone into planning for our second year of participation in the Positive Behavior and intervention Supports (PBiS) program, a school climate and behavior initiative that emphasizes, teaches and promotes positive behaviors.  This summer a PBiS leadership team from PCS  attended the annual four-day PBiS conference, sponsored by the VT Department of Education and held at the Killington Grand.

As always, we expect all of us to show Putney PRIDE: “P” for Participation, “R” for Respect & Responsibility, “I” for Integrity & Independence, “D” for Dedication and “E” for Effort & Excellence.

Vermont Apples

Healthy Food of the Month: Apples
Fall in Vermont is apple season! In addition to having no fat, cholesterol, or sodium, apples contain vitamin C and antioxidants that help combat cancer. Apples are great as a snack, for breakfast, on a salad, or as a part of many different recipes. Try picking your own this fall at a local orchard to get outside and enjoy the beautiful time of year.
